786. . . Mystic Lessons in Love
What is LOVE? if you ask ten people you will get ten different answers. Love is the most important thing in life, but often the most misunderstood. only a true Mystic of the Way knows what love IS. why you may ask? because to know something in its essence, one has to BECOME that which one wishes to KNOW. it is only the Mystics of the many different spiritual traditions that Become and therefore Know LOVE.
Love in itself is a mystery for all except the MYSTICS…..what 99% of the people call Love is not Love. in fact it is contrary and at most times opposite to what True Love IS. he or she buys me things, he or she is good in bed, he or she does what eye ask them, therefore they love me LOL. these definitions have nothing to do with the True Essence of Love. eye have even heard some people say “he only hits me because he loves me.” STOP…these false definitions of love are a crime in the high court of Love. we could go on and on about what Love is not. there are many examples of what Love is NOT. instead, today we are going to talk about “Mystic Lessons in Love.”
the first Mystic Lesson in Love is “2 become 1.” the essence of Love is One. Love is Union of Lover and Beloved. True Love is losing ones false Self and merging with the object of ones Love. on a higher inner level the universe is the objectification of the (UNI)-One. That One is God. God is Love. from this view-point one will come to know that there is only One Being that exist, God. from this lofty view-point Love is an understanding of your ONENESS with ALL. in REALITY there is not two that become one, there is ONE Knowing itself, as ALL. “2 become 1” is a realization that what we thought to be two-Lover and Beloved(duality) were in fact ONE and the same reality knowing ITSELF through the vehicle of LOVE…. this is the first Mystic Lesson in Love “2 become 1”. Sufism is an ocean, only the sincere seeker should seek the pearl at the bottom of the ocean. You have asked some good questions. Sufism is the esoteric science of Self-realization in the Islamic context. Sufism is the science of removing the illusion of separation between man and God. The journey of the sufi can not be told in words, the journey takes place in the heart. The sufi has the true science of soul purification. There are 7 levels of the nafs (soul). When the seven levels have been purified a marriage between the soul and the spirit takes place. When this mystical union has been reached, man and Allah are one. Allah has said ” I become the eyes he sees with, the ears he hears with, the mouth he speaks with, the hands he grasps with, the feet he walks with.” in the Holy Quran Allah has said “he indeed succeeds who purifies it.” the sufis have said that “it” refers to the soul/heart

Oh wise Sufi saint, how can a loving relationship between a man and woman be comparable to that of the love of the divine and is it possible that a love relationship like that can benefit all existence?
You have asked an important question man and woman are symbols of the duality that is found in the principle of the Divine. Man and woman are outward manifestations of the polarization of the Divine Light that is transcendent, beyond the planes of duality. Allah says in the Quran “I created creation in pairs.” when man and woman join together, through the union of Love, this represent Allah, knowing Himself, through the union of opposites. The sufis have said, Allah is known through HER opposites. Allah is the First, Last, Hidden, Manifest, Giver of Live, Bringer of Death. What appears to be opposites are in fact ONE Reality. This reality, when seen from the viewpoint of the mind has duality. this One Being can only Be ONE. When man and woman UNITE, this is the secret of tantra, the union of the male and female principle to manifest the DIVINE…this can benefit all existence because each person is a complete manifestation of the ALL…love and light -sufi
